IASTM & Acupuncture

IASTM & Acupuncture

At Dr. Omair’s Ortho Physio Clinic, we combine the power of IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) and Acupuncture to deliver a comprehensive, non-surgical approach to pain relief, mobility restoration, and holistic healing. These therapies are safe, effective, and suitable for a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)

IASTM is a modern manual therapy technique that uses specially designed tools to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions. It is particularly useful for breaking down scar tissue, reducing inflammation, and improving tissue mobility. When muscles, fascia, or tendons become tight, overused, or injured, IASTM helps stimulate the healing process by increasing blood flow and releasing adhesions.

Conditions Treated with IASTM:

  • Chronic muscle tightness

  • Tendonitis and tendinopathy

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Post-surgical scar tissue

  • Sports injuries

  • Myofascial restrictions

The therapy is quick, highly targeted, and enhances the effects of other physiotherapy interventions. It is often used in conjunction with therapeutic exercises and stretching routines to maximize recovery.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a time-tested therapy rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific energy points (meridians) on the body to restore balance, relieve pain, and promote natural healing. Unlike dry needling, acupuncture focuses on energy flow (Qi) and works on both physical and emotional health.

Conditions Treated with Acupuncture:

  • Chronic pain (back, neck, joints)

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Sciatica and nerve-related pain

  • Migraine and tension headaches

  • Menstrual and hormonal imbalances

  • Sleep disturbances

At our clinic, Dr. Omair Khan uses acupuncture not only for pain management but also to enhance energy flow, improve circulation, and support the body’s overall wellness. When combined with IASTM and physiotherapy, acupuncture accelerates healing and improves treatment outcomes.
